Mr. Van Hoesen began in the U.S. Army where he earned a National Security Agency award for hardware design in voice encryption systems.  He attended Middle Tennessee State University studying computer science and then served as a design engineer for corporate WAN's and LAN's. Mr Van Hoesen took a two-year sabbatical in the early 90's and worked in Russia and Central Asia helping former underground pastors get established in the new environment of freedom. He was key in the development of Tennessee’s first K-12 Internet network and then became co-founder and CTO of Education Networks of America.  ENA is in 6,000+ K-12 schools and continues to serve millions of students a day across the U.S. In 2010, he co-founded VTM LLC with the concept of merging video conferencing and learning systems into a highly empathetic, patient-centric telehealth service.   VTM has provided services to over 5,000 patients and is deploying innovative population health solutions.

Carla Worley Saunders, DNP, APRN, NNP-BC In 2010, Dr. Saunders gathered a team to address the rapid rise in the number of newborns suffering from withdrawal due to maternal opioid use. This multidisciplinary team developed a holistic approach for the treatment of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) which has treated over 2000 babies. Dr. Saunders has a dedicated passion in her work advocating for mothers and babies affected by the opioid epidemic, which led her to her doctoral work. Her work has reached beyond the bedside to state, national, and international levels advising health care organizations, drug coalitions, and legislators to improve maternal and infant outcomes in the face of this rapidly growing public health crisis. Her global vision emphasizes destigmatizing addiction focusing on primary prevention strategies. Dr. Saunders imparts a “call to action” for all health care providers, and payers, to adopt universal risk assessment and screening at each healthcare encounter.
