Global Action Platform has built its model on the research of Michael Porter at the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness, Harvard Business School, and upon over a decade of applied practice in regions. Global Action Platform has been an affiliate member of the Microeconomics of Competitiveness network created by Porter since 2015 and has a strategic partnership with the Porter Development Initiative (PDI). Global Action Platform provides cluster data and best practice research and neutral community facilitation to implement effective models and strategies in four key areas: TLAP focuses on regions as the engines of social and economic growth by connecting conversations in four strategically vital areas

Implement
The model includes five major components
Leadership Platform--mobilizing the core cross sector leaders of a regional area to focus strategy and build a growing network of critical leaders who can most effectively impact change. Currently, this is being implemented in the mid south by the Tennessee Leaders Action Platform.
PDI Leaders Academy--an invitation-only leadership program convening highly engaged leaders to investigate the most current successful strategies to drive shared prosperity and competitiveness from Harvard case studies of the most successful regions around the world.
Cluster Data and Metrics--customized place-centered cluster maps and data related to the drivers of competitiveness and prosperity to guide projects in local areas.
Action Plans--annual strategic plans created by regional delegations to implement after the Academy in their regional economies.
Action Reports--annual report summarizing strategies and results from all participating regions.
